About the Event
Once a month, families are invited to the sanctuary to learn about the amazing world of bees, butterflies, flowers, and other pollinators. Each gathering begins with a short 30-minute pollinator lesson featuring movement, simple crafts, and hands-on exploration designed for young children.
After the lesson, families are welcome to enjoy a picnic they’ve packed from home while spending time in the peaceful setting of Winding Branch Ranch. It’s a wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore nature, observe the garden, and connect with animals and other families.
Pollinator Picnics are designed to be relaxed, playful, and sensory-friendly, allowing children to learn through movement, observation, and curiosity.
Program Details
📅 When: Last Wednesday of the Month ⏰ Time: 10:00 – 11:30 AM 👶 Ages: 0–6 years (with caregiver) Children over 6 must be ticketed and with their guardian at all times. 📍 Location: Winding Branch Ranch 💵 Supply Fee: $5 per child Spots are limited to keep the experience calm and engaging for young children, and ensure adequate supplies. WEATHER: This event is weather-dependent and may be canceled if conditions are unsafe. In the event of cancellation, tickets will be honored for a future Pollinator Picnic.
