Clear the Shelters?
Clear the Shelters is a nationwide campaign led by NBCUniversal Local that encourages people to adopt animals from participating shelters and rescue organizations.
Winding Branch Ranch is participating by waiving adoption fees from August 15 through August 31. Our regular application, review and approval requirements will remain in place throughout the campaign.

Adoption fees are waived for approved adopters.

All standard applications and placement reviews still apply.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or reserve an animal.

Animal availability may change as applications are reviewed.

Every placement is based on the needs of both the animal and the adopter.
Waived fees do not mean waived standards. Our priority is finding a safe, informed and permanent home for each animal.
How Adoption Works
1. Meet the Animals
Visit our adoption page to see the animals currently looking for homes and learn more about their personalities and care needs.
2. Submit an Application
Complete our adoption application and tell us about your property, experience, existing animals and plans for long-term care.
3. Application Review
Our team will review your application to determine whether your home and care plan are appropriate for the animal you are interested in adopting.
4. Meet Your Potential Match
Approved applicants will be contacted to discuss the animal and arrange the next steps. Because Winding Branch Ranch is not open to the public for general visitation, meetings must be scheduled in advance.

From August 15 through August 31, adoption fees are waived for approved adopters. Review the animals currently available and complete an application to begin the process.
