Birthday parties at Winding Branch Ranch offer families a relaxed and memorable way to celebrate while supporting our mission to rescue, revive, and rehome farm animals. Guests can spend time with the animals, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate together at the sanctuary.

Families are welcome to bring their own food, beverages, cake, and decorations. Our team will help guide animal interactions so guests can safely meet some of the ranch’s most friendly residents.

What to Expect
​

Birthday parties are held outdoors at the ranch and offer plenty of space for children to play, explore, and connect with animals. Our team will introduce guests to some of the animals who call the sanctuary home and share a little about their rescue stories.

​

It’s a celebration that is fun for kids while also supporting animal rescue and compassionate agriculture.

To check availability and reserve your date, please contact us or submit a request through the form below. We recommend booking early, especially during spring and fall when weekends fill quickly.

Birthday Party Package - $400

 

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a fun, hands-on experience at Winding Branch Ranch.

Includes:

  • Up to 2 hours at the ranch

  • Up to 40 total guests, including children and adults

  • Reserved party space for food, cake and gifts

  • Guided interactions with select rescue animals

  • Time to explore the sanctuary

  • A memorable birthday experience centered around animals, agriculture and the outdoors

Transparent Pricing

 

Our base birthday party package is $400 for up to 40 total guests. From there, you can keep things simple or customize the celebration with hands-on activities, educational take-home experiences and party upgrades.

A few things to know before choosing your add-ons:

  • Add-ons priced per child must be purchased for every child attending the party

  • Adults are not included in the per-child count

  • Parties with more than 40 total guests are $25 per additional 5 guests

  • An additional hour may be added for $50, based on availability

  • Add-ons and bundles must be selected in advance so our team can have materials and activities ready for your group

Optional Add-Ons

​Animal Feeding Experience | $5 per child

Children get the opportunity to help feed select sanctuary animals while learning what they eat, how their diets differ and why proper nutrition is an important part of responsible animal care.

​

Farm Craft Station | $5 per child

A hands-on farm, animal or nature-inspired craft that children complete during the party and take home with them. Projects may vary depending on age, season and availability.

​

Plant-It-At-Home Kit | $5 per child

Each child receives everything they need for a simple growing activity, including a biodegradable pot, growing medium, seeds and an educational card connecting what they plant to agriculture and our food system.

​

Children can begin the activity at the ranch or take the complete kit home.

​

Build-a-Barn or Habitat Kit | $5 per child

A hands-on building activity where children create a miniature barn, animal shelter, pollinator habitat or other agriculture-inspired structure to take home

.

The activity introduces basic ideas about what animals need from their environments and how people design spaces to meet those needs.

​

Nature Journal | $6 per child

Each child receives a Winding Branch Ranch nature journal designed to encourage observation and exploration of animals, plants, weather, habitats and the natural world.

​

Guest Farmer Certificate | $2 per child

Send every young guest home as an official Winding Branch Ranch Guest Farmer with a keepsake certificate recognizing their day at the ranch.​

​

Farm Scavenger Hunt | $100 per party

Turn the ranch into an adventure with a farm and conservation-themed scavenger hunt designed specifically for young explorers.

​

Children search for clues, make observations and answer age-appropriate questions about animals, habitats, agriculture, plants, conservation and food systems as they explore Winding Branch Ranch.

​

Scavenger hunt materials are provided for the children attending the party.

​

Junior Farmer Experience | $200 per party

Turn part of the celebration into a real ranch experience with a WBR team member leading the children through an age-appropriate agricultural activity.

​

Depending on the season and what is happening at the ranch, activities may include collecting eggs, identifying different types of animal feed, learning about animal care, planting, exploring tools used around the ranch or completing another hands-on farm task.

​

Activities are selected by WBR based on the age of the children, season, animal needs and ranch operations.

​

Animal feeding is not included in the Junior Farmer Experience and may be added separately.

​

Dedicated Party Host | $100

Add a WBR team member dedicated specifically to helping your celebration run smoothly.

​

Your Party Host helps coordinate the party timeline, organize scheduled activities, assist with transitions, keep things moving around cake and food and serve as your primary WBR point person throughout the celebration.

​

The Party Host does not provide childcare or replace adult supervision of children.

​

Additional Guests | $25 per 5 guests

The base package includes up to 40 total guests, including adults and children.

​

Additional guests may be added in groups of five for $25 per 5 guests.

​

Additional Hour | $100

Need a little more time? Add an additional hour to your celebration for $100, based on availability.

WBR Birthday Adventure | $275 + $4 per child

 

For families who want a more immersive, activity-filled celebration at the ranch.

 

Includes:

  • Junior Farmer Experience

  • Farm Scavenger Hunt

  • Dedicated Party Host

  • Animal Feeding Experience for every child attending

​

The $275 package price covers the Junior Farmer Experience, Farm Scavenger Hunt and Dedicated Party Host.

Animal Feeding is then added at $4 per child based on the total number of children attending the party.

​

Food, Cake and Decorations

 

Families are welcome to bring their own food, non-alcoholic drinks, birthday cake and approved decorations.

​

Because Winding Branch Ranch is an operating sanctuary with animals on the property, some decorations and food-service items are restricted for animal safety and property management. Please review our Birthday Party Guidelines before planning your setup.

Reserving Your Party

 

Submitting a birthday party inquiry does not reserve or hold a date.

​

Your party is confirmed once:

  • Winding Branch Ranch confirms that your requested date and time are available

  • Your reservation details are finalized

  • The required deposit is received

​

Add-ons, bundles and your final number of children should be confirmed in advance so we can prepare the correct materials and staffing for your celebration.

Birthday Party Guidelines

Birthday parties at Winding Branch Ranch take place at an active farm animal rescue and agricultural resource center. Guests will be celebrating in a real-world sanctuary environment where animals live, heal, and receive daily care. Because of this, safety, supervision, and cooperation are essential to creating a positive experience for everyone.


By booking a birthday party at Winding Branch Ranch, families acknowledge and agree to the following:


Active Farm Environment

The sanctuary is a working rescue with uneven terrain, animals moving throughout the space, and ongoing care activities. Children must remain with their supervising adults and follow staff instructions at all times while visiting the ranch.


Supervision

Birthday parties are family-hosted events. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children throughout the party and helping ensure that guests follow ranch safety guidelines.


Animal Interaction

All interactions with animals are supervised by sanctuary staff and volunteers. The animals who call the sanctuary home come from many different backgrounds and experiences. Even well-mannered animals can react unexpectedly. Guests will be guided on how to interact calmly and respectfully to ensure safety for both people and animals.


Behavior Expectations

Guests are expected to treat animals, staff, and other visitors with kindness and respect. Running, chasing animals, climbing on fences, or entering animal areas without staff guidance is not permitted.

Food, Decorations, and Setup


Families are welcome to bring their own food, cake, beverages, and decorations for the celebration. Decorations must be removed at the end of the party, and items that may pose a risk to animals (such as confetti or loose balloons) should be avoided.


Photography

Photos and videos are welcome during birthday celebrations. From time to time, the ranch may also capture photos of activities for educational or promotional purposes.


Shared Responsibility

Winding Branch Ranch is first and foremost a sanctuary for rescued animals. Staff and families work together to ensure that birthday celebrations remain fun, respectful, and safe for both guests and the animals who call the sanctuary home.


Assumption of Risk

Visitors understand that Winding Branch Ranch is an active farm animal rescue and outdoor environment. While our team works to maintain a safe and welcoming space, farm settings involve inherent risks including uneven ground, weather conditions, insects, and the natural behavior of animals. By attending a birthday party at the ranch, guests acknowledge these conditions and agree to follow all staff guidance and safety instructions while on the property.


By booking a birthday party, families acknowledge these guidelines and help us maintain a safe and positive experience for all visitors.
