Learn With Us
At Winding Branch Ranch, the pasture becomes the classroom. Our TEKS-aligned field trips and homeschool programs turn science, agriculture, and sustainability into hands-on learning experiences where students explore, ask questions, and discover how animals, land, and food systems are connected.
At Winding Branch Ranch Summer Camps, children experience hands-on learning, creativity, and outdoor adventure in a unique farm sanctuary setting. Each themed camp—whether focused on science, art, storytelling, or farm-to-table cooking—invites campers to explore nature, connect with rescued farm animals, and discover new skills through engaging activities.
Winding Branch Ranch offers TEKS-aligned field trips for schools and homeschool groups from Pre-K through high school, bringing livestock science, sustainability, and humane agriculture to life. Students engage in hands-on learning within a working rescue environment that connects classroom standards to real-world agricultural practice.
Compassion in Action is a hands-on education program where students, ages 10-14, explore empathy, animal care, and agriculture through real-life experiences at Winding Branch Ranch. Learning is rooted in humane education and meaningful connection.
Cultivate invites youth ages 7–14 to step into the daily life of the sanctuary and learn by doing. Participants care for rescued animals, help in the garden, and take part in hands-on projects that build responsibility, teamwork, and a lasting connection to animals and the land.
This March, join us every Saturday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Winding Branch Ranch for a FREE hands-on sustainability education series featuring incredible local experts. Each week explores a different topic focused on caring for the land, supporting ecosystems, and building a more sustainable future together.
