Summer Camps

At Winding Branch Ranch Summer Camps, children experience hands-on learning, creativity, and outdoor adventure in a unique farm sanctuary setting. Each themed camp—whether focused on science, art, storytelling, or farm-to-table cooking—invites campers to explore nature, connect with rescued farm animals, and discover new skills through engaging activities.

Our Summer Camps are offered throughout June and July. Each camp is designed as a one-week experience, with select camps offered multiple times during the summer to accommodate more participants.

*A discount of 15% will be applied for siblings

Campers are welcome to attend more than one camp to create a full day experience.

Science at the Sanctuary

This hands-on summer camp invites curious kids to explore science through real experiences with farm animals, gardens, soil, water, and ecosystems. Campers become young scientists as they observe animal behavior, experiment in the garden, investigate insects, and learn how nature works together as a living system. Every animal encounter, garden harvest, and outdoor exploration becomes an opportunity to ask questions, test ideas, and make discoveries.

Art at the Sanctuary

This unique summer camp invites young artists to explore creativity inspired by the beauty of farm life. Surrounded by rescued farm animals, gardens, trees, and wide-open skies, campers will use the ranch as their muse while experimenting with a variety of artistic techniques and materials. Students can expect to let their imaginations run with media such as watercolor, fiber arts, sculpture and more.

Storytelling at the Sanctuary

Campers become writers, storytellers, and creative thinkers as they turn their experiences at the sanctuary into imaginative stories. Surrounded by nature and animals that carry their own stories, campers will draw inspiration from real-life encounters to create tales, poems, and illustrated storybooks.Through fun writing activities, group storytelling games, and outdoor exploration, campers will learn how great stories are built—from characters and settings to plot and imagination.

July 6th - July 10th (8:30AM - 12:00PM)

Farm to Fork: A Culinary Camp

This hands-on camp introduces young chefs to the journey from garden to plate. Campers will harvest fresh ingredients from the garden, learn basic kitchen skills, and prepare simple, delicious recipes using fresh produce and farm-inspired flavors.Each day blends gardening, cooking, tasting, and food creativity, helping campers understand where food comes from and how to turn simple ingredients into something special.Campers can expect to end the week with a special cookbook- developed from their camp experiences.
