Help Us Recover From the Floods
The animals are safe, but Winding Branch Ranch sustained significant damage from the recent flooding.
We urgently need our community’s help to restore essential utilities, repair safe access to the sanctuary, and move vulnerable animal habitats to higher ground.
Floodwaters damaged areas throughout the sanctuary, including the water and electric lines serving our pastures and animal habitats. Our driveway now requires major repairs and one of our pig habitats must be rebuilt on higher ground.
We are pursuing emergency grants and other assistance, but these repairs cannot wait. We need donations now to keep the sanctuary safe and operating.
WHAT HAPPENED
$32,000: Essential utilities
Retrenching and replacing damaged water and electric lines
$28,000: Safe access
Repairing and repaving roadways for volunteers and students to access the sanctuary
$21,800: Animal safety
Rebuilding the pig habitat on higher ground and replacing damaged fencing
Total estimated need: $81,800
